Faces with no name

Too many voices,
Telling me the same lies.
Too many faces ,
With the same expression.
Painting a picture with a thousand words,
I might be a few sentences short.
Out of breath from jogging
But it’s in the same spot .
Competiting against myself ,
I always come out second best.
Looking out into the future ,
As I wonder what I’m staring at.
Confusion fills the room ,
Like steam from a hot shower.
Putting lotion on my dry thoughts
Can’t be moist enough to save my future .
From every corner I can hear,
The whispers from the unknown.
The faces I can’t put a name on.
